Bumblebee – The most popular Transformer ever?
While many polls would say that Optimus Prime is the most popular Transformers character ever, many others would say that the honour falls on the diminutive character of Bumblebee, who reallly captured the hearts and minds of fans. Through the original cartoon series and toys, to the animated movie, comics, video games, collectibles and live action movies, Bumblebee has proven himself to be big hit with fans young and old.
This is probably down to the fact that Bumblebee never comes across as a macho hero, or a character that thinks he's all that. He's a hero, for sure, but he never stops being an appealing character with a sweet, childlike nature that many fans have latched onto for years.
It says something about the strength of a character to remain popular with fans for so very long, but Bumblebee, with his yellow colour and slightly clumsy nature, is a hero we can all relate to. While the Transformers are giant robots fighting an intergalactic war against each other, there is something almost human about Bumblebee with his sense of humour, his sense of fun and that famous streak of mischief to his character.
That's not to say that he can't deliver the goods when the action calls for it. Not at all! Bumblebee, despite his small stature and peace loving outlook, can still bring the fain when battling against the evil Decepticons. In the world of Transformers, Bumblebee is a fantastic all-round hero that fans young and old love and look up to.

All of this adds up to one fact Bumblebee is arguably the most popular Transformers character ever!
